The funds from our 2018 Golf Outing will go toward supporting Connecting for Kids, specifically the Sensory Processing Awareness Kits for preschoolers inLakewood.  The kit contains red flags for sensory processing and a small fidget octopus doll for the children. After the kits are distributed Connecting for Kids will hold a sensory consult at the library so parents concerned about the red flags can learn more and see if their child should be referred on for occupational therapy. Here is more about the program:  https://connectingforkids.org/SensoryAware

This program was rolled  out in Westlake this spring and they had an overwhelming response from the community with at least 20 children so far referred onto occupational therapy. EY sponsored that roll out and Connecting for Kids was able to put "Generously sponsored by EY" on every kit.

The goal is to give one kit to every preschool aged child in a Lakewood preschool or daycare. "Generously donated by Kiwanis Division 14" mark on every kit.
